Danae N. Benton is an attorney with Lee Murphy Law Firm and concentrates her practice on products liability with an emphasis on pharmaceutical drugs and devices, mass tort, and personal injury litigation. Danae grew up on a ranch in a small Central Texas town. It was there her parents taught her the value of hard work, integrity, and honesty. Danae earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas before graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she made the Dean’s Honor List multiple times. While pursuing her legal education, she was an active member of Moot Court and competed on the school’s National team.
At Lee Murphy Law Firm, Danae is involved in every aspect of the client experience; from case acquisition and marketing, through client education, communications, and ongoing client-firm relations. Danae is dedicated to ensuring clients received the highest level of representation and was named one of the Top Lawyers in Houston for 2015 by H Texas Magazine.
As a member of Texas Trial Lawyers Association’s Board of Advocates, Danae works to protect the rights of plaintiffs in our civil justice system. Additionally, Danae is a member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Trial Lawyers Association (“HTLA”) and is the current chair for HTLA’s Women’s Caucus. She believes in giving back to the community by volunteering her time with the Houston Trial Lawyers Foundation (“HTLF”) and serves as co-chair of the Marketing Committee for HTLF’s Gala. Danae is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.
In addition to her work within the legal community, Danae is a member of the Baylor Bear Foundation and is an avid Baylor football fan.
